Music and Movement
In addition to our daily curriculum we offer a variety of enrichment programs throughout the year. We provide a One-of-a kind Music Program in partnership with THE HAPPY PIANO Neuron Connection. This is an early childhood piano class that helps children gain the foundation of music theory, reading music, rhythm and basic keyboard skills. www.happypiano.com
We also partner with Guitar Bob as he provides enriching and educational musical activities on a weekly basis at The Children’s Studio. Young children (including infants and toddlers) react joyously whenever Guitar Bob arrives to share his original songs and familiar children’s tunes. They especially love singing along, moving in creative ways, and dancing to Guitar Bob’s lively music played on a variety of instruments such as guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and kazoo.
Bob Messano, M.Ed., is known to his many fans as “Guitar Bob”. Bob performs and teaches music at schools, libraries, community events, recreation programs, and teacher conferences. In addition to his work as a musician, Bob is a professor of Early Childhood Education at William Paterson University and Kean University. He teaches classes and supervises student teachers doing their fieldwork.
